"Reluctant Pre CD Party"

The Royal Hotel Springwood have proudly agreed to allow the heaviest folk band in the Blue Mountains, "Reluctant Friends of Steve", to play on Saturday night, the 23rd October.

For those who have never heard the band before, the music is all original and can best be described as dangerously amusing and alarmingly diverse, where the traditional sound of the didgeridoo, the 12 string guitar and one mean recorder (slightly shorter than the didg), dance delicately, with the not quite so traditional, guitar, bass and drums. Quoting a reluctant fan... "Be it fast or slow, their melody is infectious and their love of music simply pulls you into the performance".

The "Reluctant Friends of Steve" have been very busy of late, putting the final touches to their second CD, "Mirrors of the Past" and on the night, they will be giving their audience the opportunity to preview a range of possible CD covers and also the chance to vote for their favourite design.

The night begins at 9pm with the wonderful support of the charismatic and mostly clean, Mick from the Mick Show and those crazy, sex muffins from Warrimoo, Dr and the Badman.
